Water Purification

INOSEP's innvative membrane manufacturing technology, which is available to apply for precision medical devices, is highly suitable for producing high-quality water.

Application Areas

  • Household: Water purifiers, softeners, and water for drinking and domestic use.
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment: High-performance treatment in water plants and pathogen removal.
  • Seawater Desalination: Freshwater supply for water-scarce regions like the Middle East, using membrane-based desalination.
  • Semiconductors and Displays: Production of ultra-pure water, cleanroom water, and purification of chemicals used in processes like etching.

Types of Water Treatment Membranes

Key Membrane Materials

  • Polymeric Membranes (Organic Membranes): Polyamide, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polysulfone, cellulose acetate, Teflon, etc.

* Note: These materials constitute 94% of membranes, offering ease of molding, heat resistance, and chemical resistance.

Ceramic Membranes (Inorganic Membranes)

  • Made from materials like aluminum, zirconium, and titanium.

*Note: Comprising 5% of total membranes, ceramic membranes offer superior heat and chemical resistance compared to polymeric membranes. They are more expensive and have separation performance equivalent to MF/UF levels.

Metal Membranes (Inorganic Membranes)

  • Made from materials such as stainless steel, nickel, palladium, silver, platinum, and gold.

*Note: These membranes provide separation performance at the MF (Microfiltration) level.

Glass Membranes

  • Made from fiberglass membranes.

Characteristics such as water productivity, selectivity, resistance to chemicals/bacteria, resistance to cleaning/sanitizing agents, and cost are key factors in determining their use.
